 runners and walkers from across the Magic City as they participate in Birm
 ingham’s newest annual running event.  Bridge Builders 5K Run will be i
 n its second year and held on May 27\, 2023 in downtown Birmingham at Rail
  Road Park.  The race is conducted through the efforts of the dedicated v
 olunteers of Omega Scholarship and Benevolence Fund\, Incorporated (OSBF) 
 and the Alpha Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity\, Incorporated.\n\nO
 n behalf of the Alpha Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity\, Incorporat
 ed and our 501(c)3 foundations\, OSBF and the Birmingham Omega Lamplighter
 s\, we are asking for your support to assist in our labors as community le
 aders.\n\nOSBF is an approved 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing 
 scholarships and benevolent funding to deserving students and organization
 s to assist with educational needs\; to provide support in the areas relat
 ing to public and community service initiatives\; to inspire others to rea
 lize their full potential as productive and responsible citizens addressin
 g issues facing youth and providing them the proper guidance in our commun
 ity.\n\nThe Birmingham Omega Lamplighters is an approved 501(c)3 organizat
 ion\, which is a youth leadership mentoring organization\, dedicated to yo
 ung men ages 12-18.  Our interactive program of involvement serves to pro
 vide positive role models in helping these young men acquire interpersonal
  skills and a sense of worth and empowerment.  Through our mentoring prog
 ram\, we help to develop the youth into role models for other youth and ul
 timately into contributing adults who will be able to positively impact ou
 r communities.  Our aim is to turn good young men into GREAT young men!\n
