The focus of this fitness class will the teaching of chair yoga. Chair yoga not only serves as a great way for older adults to get the wonderful health benefits of yoga, but also makes yoga accessible for more people.
The benefits of chair yoga for older adults include loosening and stretching painful muscles, reducing chronic pain, decreasing stress, and improving circulation. Practicing chair yoga also reduces anxiety, helps lower blood pressure, projects joints, and builds strength and balance
