Councilor Crystal N. Smitherman spoke with CBS 42, WVTM 13 and FOX6 WBRC-TV discussing the demolition of the dilapidated Center Place Apartment complex in District 6.
“This marks a significant win for our community,” Councilor Smitherman said. “This had been a hotbed for criminal activity and posed a public safety threat to the residents in the surrounding community. We’re going to continue working with the Mayor’s administration to make sure this land is developed into something that can be an asset for our residents.”
