  • BuildUP Community School: BuildUP Community School, is a private school located here in Birmingham that focuses on educating students through work-based learning with a concentration in construction.
  • Shelly Ann’s Kitchen: Rice Krispy Treats (Plain) and Pecan Rice Krispy Treats
  • Birmingham Talks: Birmingham Talks provides a free program for parents called LENA Start. I teach parents over the course of 8 weeks how to increase talk and interaction with their children ages 4 and under. One unique component of our program is parents can see data on the number of words their children are hearing to support their efforts in increasing their literacy. At the end of this experience, we celebrate all their efforts with a wonderful graduation as well as with incentives throughout our time together. I am grateful for the opportunity to spread awareness about this free and effective resource in District 6.

  • Oak Street Health: We will provide a free lemonade stand along with information about Oak Street Health
  • Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School: Holy Family Cristo Rey Catholic High School combines academic rigor and a corporate work-study program to empower scholars to graduate high school prepared to persist in college and flourish in life. All scholars are provided with an internship at a job partner and work one day a week beginning in 9th grade. With job partners across various industries, scholars are able to receive hands-on experience with employers exploring a multitude of careers and making lifelong connections. Scholars are able to graduate with FOUR years of work experience and then gain access to over 70 university and college partners across the US who provide generous scholarship packages to Cristo Rey graduates.
  • The Urban Dog Mom: Products for Dogs I make organic holistic dog treats and food that is grain, gluten, and nut free. All of my products are free from chemicals, preservatives, and fillers. I also make doggy cakes for any occasion, host doggy birthday parties, and I offer in-home dog boarding & Doggy Daycare.
